@Shina the 640-802 exam is an old scheme and is no longer administered by CISCO plus it does not cover HSRP and some other minor topics..In other words it’s sort of obsolete to rely on except you want to reference the basic topics that are related to the new scheme.

Q7: Circuit switch has low speed than packet switch, as first establishes the path and then starts the call. Packet switch does not involves call set up process so packet switch is comparatively fast.

Correction !!!! Q8: They said all host in the subnetwork.
Alas! 64 is not a host its network.

Therefore the correct ans is 80. Therefore the subnet mask should be 255. Thats my own understanding

Circuit switched is more expensive compared to packet switched and also circuit switch communication is based on real time, so how can speed be slow?? Should be

+ Point to Point Advantage: More complex
+ Point to Point Disadvantage: Limited Flexibility

+ Circuit Switched Disadvantage: Cost

@ n@w: I’ve been looking into Question 7 as I wasn’t really sure about it.

– Point-to-point would refer to Leased lines or similar where a company has dedicated access between two sites (think serial connections and HDLC/PPP). This means:
+ High quality (dedicated bandwidth with no other party involved)
– High cost (well, if an ISP is going to give you a dedicated line, prices tend to increase)
– Low flexibility (might take a while for an ISP to implement new leased lines for customers)
– Circuit switching includes the oldies such as PSTN, ISDN and GSM.
+ Dedicated bandwidth (does it matter? based on the third point :P )
+ Cheap
– Slow as shite
– Packet switching refers to technologies such as Frame-Relay and X.25
+ Efficient (customers get a CIR which can be exceeded, so there’s little to now bandwidth waste in the ISP network)
+ Flexible ( it’s relatively easy to add sites and change topology of the company WAN)
– Complex (I don’t really know where this comes from as it can be really easy to implement according to CCNA books. However for ISPs this may differ).

@Anonymous – VTP?! That was removed from this version of CCNA and is not listed on CCNA exam blueprint from Cisco. Also, it was removed from Net Acad curriculum. Cisco Off Cert Guide said we should ignore it. Are you sure?
