Here you will find answers to Drag and Drop Questions – Part 5

Question 1

Drag the Cisco default administrative distance to the appropriate routing protocol or route (Not all options are used)

Default_Administrative_Distance.jpg

Answer:

+ RIP: 120
+ OSPF: 110
+ static route referencing IP address of next hop: 1
+ internal EIGRP route: 90
+ directly connected network: 0

Question 2

Drag the term on the left to its definition on the right (not all options are used)

some_rules.jpg

Answer:

+ poison reverse: A router learns from its neighbor that a route is down and the router sends an update back to the neighbor with an infinite metric to that route
+ LSA: The packets flooded when a topology change occurs, causing network routers to update their topological databases and recalculate routes
+ split horizon: This prevents sending information about a routeback out the same interface that originally learned about the route
+ holddown timer: For a given period, this causes the router to ignore any updates with poorer metrics to a lost network

Question 3

Drag the description on the left to the correct router mode on the right

Cisco_router_modes copy.jpg

Answer:

+ user EXEC mode: limited to basic monitoring commands
+ privileged EXEC mode: provide access to all other router commands
+ global configuration mode: commands that affect the entire system
+ specific configuration mode: commands that affect interfaces/processes only
+ setup mode: interactive configuration dialog

Question 4

Drag each definition on the left to the matching term on the right

Cisco_metric_parameters.jpg

Answer:

+ cost: a configurable value based by default on the bandwidth of the interface
+ load: the amount of activity on a network resource
+ bandwidth: the data capacity of a link
+ hop count: the number of point-to-point links in a transmission path
+ reliability: usually refers to the bit error rate of each network link
+ delay: the amount of time required to move a packet from source to destination

Question 5

Refer to the exhibit. Complete the network diagram by dragging the correct device name or description to the correct location. Not all the names or descriptions will be used.

digital_line_CSU_DSU.jpg

Answer:

From left to right:

Router, DTE, DCE, CSU/DSU Synchronous, Digital Line, WAN Service Provider Network.

Question 6

Drag each feature on the left to the appropriate routing protocol on the right.

RIPv1_OSPF.jpg

Answer:

RIP version 1

+ sends frequent updates
+ less complex configuration
+ susceptible to routing loops
+ exchanges full routing table in updates

OSPF:

+ faster convergence
+ uses only event-triggered updates
+ same topology information held by all routers
+ requires more memory and processing power

Question 7

Drag item on left to match item on right

network_type_advantage.jpg

Answer:

+ Point to Point Advantage: Quality
+ Point to Point Disadvantage: Limited Flexibility
+ Circuit Switched Advantage: Cost
+ Circuit Switched Disadvantage: Low speed
+ Packet Switch Advantage: Efficient
+ Packet Switch Disadvantage: More Complex

Question 8

All hosts in the same subnet with 172.16.5.118/26 must be denied Telnet access to hosts outside the LAN (u need to just drag & drop) fiil out the command. To complete the bracketed command, [access-list list-number deny tcp 172.16.5.address 0.0.0.mask any eq port], drag each appropriate option on the left to its proper placeholder on the right. (Not all options are used)

access-list-number.jpg

Answer:

+ list-number: 128
+ address: 64
+ mask: 63
+ port: 23

Q8 :the address is 64 ,why ???>>thx in advance

  5. soll
    June 9th, 2013

because the original address is 172.16.5.118/ 26, that means the increment was 64.
    1. 172.16.5.0 – 63
    2. 172.16.5. 64 – 127
    …..
the 118 address is on the second one. the network address of the second network is 172.16.5.64

Q8 – Because you are using an extended ACL (defined by port number etc in the command) the acl number has to be between 100-199 or 2000 – 2699. So therefore 128 fits. It states that all hosts in the SUBNET must be denied telnet access so therefore you must subnet 172.16.5.118/26. 64 is increment therefore it is inside the 172.16.5.64/26 subnet – 64 is the address. A /26 has a mask of 255.255.255.192 the wildcard for the ACL is 0.0.0.63 – 63 is the mask. Port well thats easy – 23 is the port number for telnet.

Q5 – Obviously the Router has the “Router” name. A Router is a Data Terminal Equipment type so DTE fits next to it. The box in the middle represents a CSU/DSU which sends timing to the router therefore it is a Data Communications Equipment or DCE – so DCE fits next to the DTE label. CSU/DSU is just that so it goes underneath the box. The line in theory would most likely be a T1/T3 line and thus would be digital. The cloud represents the WAN Service Provider providing that link to you (for a cost)

The composite model is that the largest increases in unemployment to the model year
were in countries at the meet of the crisis – Greece, Cyprus, Spain and Portugal. There was also a biting snowball
in Slovenia, a country seen as a admissible time to come possibility exchange for a pecuniary rescue.
The comprehensive decorate is that the largest increases in unemployment through the last year
were in countries at the meet of the calamity – Greece, Cyprus, Spain and Portugal. There was also a chic bourgeon
in Slovenia, a homeland seen as a tenable tomorrow prospect for a economic rescue.

    Hi All,
it’s no very clear question 6, in particular RipV1, i know that is classful routing (no send subnet mask in update message), why the answer say that Ripv1 exchanges full routing table in updates?
maybe ”exchange full routing” means ”classfull”?????
    i’m so confused.

Thanks 9tut. I made it. I passed my CCNA 200-120 today. The sim is Access-list 1 , Access-list 2 & EIGRP. A lot of new questions like Netflow, Syslog, SNMP, VRRP, and GLBP.

@ Does an entire drag and drop count as *ONLY ONE* question?

@ Chanaka Q5 is right. See Dave’s great explanation on June 12. Note Digital line will surely come right before the ISP.

hello can one read only question on this site and pass the exam

  25. pk
    September 20th, 2013

Q5. I think Chanaka is right there can not be DCE in customer side. If you take after CSU/DSU is the demarcation point it has to be
Router,DTE, V.35(Digital Line), CSU/DSU, DCE(Cloking Done by Provider), WAN service Provider Network.

Can you please 9tut confirm this?

  26. pk
    September 20th, 2013

    Q5,
    I mean
from Left Router,DTE, V.35(Digital Line), CSU/DSU, DCE(Cloking Done by Provider), WAN service Provider Network.

  27. pk
    September 20th, 2013

Q5,Sorry guys. I was wrong. According to Wendell answer in 9tut is correct,

According to him Device that provide clocking is (CSU/DSU) is DCE.
Device receives clocking is (Router) is DTE.
    so the order is,
Router, DTE,DCE, (CSU/DSU) Digital Line, WAN service provider.
Confusing part is there are physical device and functions both need to go to these labels.
