can anyone please explain why option A is not correct?

  8. Nava
    November 25th, 2013

@Subhsamal : For routing to work on different Vlans, the router will be configured with subinterfaces as per different VLans. Here host E and Host F are in different Vlans , so the default gateway would be configured to the subinterface of the router accordingly. Thus they will have different gateway IP address.

    April 17th, 2014

Veronica: Some questions from 640-802 were removed and dont still in the 200-120, but I think new CCNA is a little bit difficult. So point of questions is same but for example SNMP,HSRP,multi area OSPF, NTP, IOS 15 licensing, PPPoe was added :)…

For router on a stick, what is advisable using an IP address or using no IP address? I’ve seen documentation that doesn’t really offer a preference on this. Also, what is the purpose/meaning of not using the no IP address command. I haven’t found any documentation that goes into any detail on that.

@MELLOW,mentioning the no ip address command before assigning for the subinterfaces is just to be sure incase an ip has been preconfigured by another administrator

Q2 : is the following explanantion right ?
“Because the ip subnet-zero command is used, network 172.16.3.0/30 can be used.”

According to me, the ip subnet-zero refers to classfull networks and as 172.16 is a class B, its subnet-zero shoud be : 172.16.0.0 /n (n> or =16) and then 172.16.3.0/30 is not a subnet zero.

The no ip subnet-zero could have been set, it would not have changed the result.
