Are there any new questions in the exam ?

  3. Mosca
    October 14th, 2014

@Catherine no! Passed today acl 1, acl 2 and Eigrp sim. All questions are present on this site but a few are answered wrong so recheck everything with your study materials if your not sure. No new sims that were reported last few days. The exam was relatively easy but prepare your stuff properly I studied for a year for this and have a broad understanding of all topics, concepts and practical appliance. Tab and ? work in the sim environment.

Much appreciated to 9tut crew who provided so much resources for practice. Good luck all in your journey!

@Mosca which questions are wrong in this website ?

    October 14th, 2014

I bumped on only a few 4-5-6 in total can’t really remember, as there are more then 300 in total from the top of my head, but there is one on the switch terminal vty line where it asks to select a option to only allow one connection and the wrong answer is selected. There is also a suspect one on frame-relay regrading the encapsulation according to my materials(ccna curriculum) and testing. Its really not a massive difference and will virtually make no difference on exam since 99% is correct and the labs are spot on and I never got the suspect questions on my exam.

But dont go and remember everything its good to check things out and understand why things are answered the way there are. If your in a rush this site is gold. For a premium fee of 10$ you can really drill things to perfection with 9tut quizzes. Regards and good luck on your exam.

    Passed today with 986 :)
Same as others- eigrp, ACL1 and ACL2-mod 3 labs and 51 questions. Because I had spent so much time on this site, I was flying through the test so fast and half way through really started to waste time, to not appear suspiciously fast. I still finished under an hour even with all the dragging. At the end of the test it says this is the preliminary score and your results will be evaluated for authentication and checked for consistency and you can check online within 72 hours if your exam is considered valid or you might have to take it again. This has me worried now, maybe I did it too fast, like too good to be true? Has anyone had points deducted or had to retake exam for some reason? How long to we have to wait to know for sure? Some say online 10 days???

@Jessica, I know what you mean. I slowed down to make sure that I took a little over an hour and I didn’t get my exam flagged with that scary message about having to wait 72 hours. Cisco and Pearson are not stupid…

    October 18th, 2014

    IMPORTANT QUESTION!!!

On ACL2, mod3 and mod4, 9tut suggests: but in the exam you should use “access-list 100 permit ip any any”

So, in real exam, should we type “permit ip any any” instead of the correct command “permit ip any host 172.22.242.17″ to get full mark?

  36. Jessica
    October 18th, 2014

Thanks guys :) I got the e-mail that says Congratulations, you passed bla-bla, but it doesn’t mention the point score anywhere so I assume it remained the same.
@atut, I used “permit ip any any” and got maximum points for sim so go for it. I assume it might be a trick question in a sense that you can use only max 3 commands and if you don’t say “any any” then implicit deny will not allow any other type of access (there are 3 servers not 2 so they wouldn’t be able to access the dns server)… not sure, just my 2 cents :/

  44. CCNA
    October 19th, 2014

i have just passed CCNA with 917/1000,3 hours ago, thanks to the one and only Allah , the sims were :
ACL 1 , ACL2 , EIGRP & EIGRP + 48 Questions , No Drag and Drop Questions were in the exam.
A.My approach for the exam :
    1. Study the theory behind every concept , then after you understand the concepts try to configure after you feel comfortable with the configuration start troubleshooting (don’t worry i will tell you how to study for that)
    2. after you have understood all the concepts and you can configure and troubleshoot , now it’s time to enter 9tut and test your knowledge and start practicing for speed ( speed kills, it really does , if you are not fast enough then you will not make it, how would you become fast ? practice makes improvement, so start practicing )
    B. Materials :
    1. CBT Nuggets ICND1 + ICND2 (Both combined will take you from the basics to the Associate Level) or INE Training CCNA Series.
    2. After you have finished Studying and you feel comfortable with all the topics, now it’s time to Enter 9tut and get to work .
    3. Study Lab :
-you can Either use The recommended Lab in the CBT Nuggets CCNA Series and work with real Equipment .
can’t afford real Equipment ? no problem , you can still use a Simulator , i would recommend Cisco Packet tracer (you can have it if you know a friend who studies at The Cisco Academy ,if not you can find it if you look hard enough [not that hard to find ;) ])
, if you need any help you may contact me on Mohmmedbugazia@gmail.com
i wish you the best of luck, Peace!

  47. ROD
    October 19th, 2014

Thank you 9tut… passed 200-120 on Friday with a 945. Sent you $25 there for gratitude towards such a great (free) resource.

Shout out to Watson/Examtut vce’s. ACL 2 and EIGRP sims among……
    2 questions and 1 sim I hadn’t seen before.
New SIM was a 3-part question pop out with 4 MCQ’s about what would need to be applied for telnet to be still disabled but ping be allowed (for example)
    A. ACCL 104 acl was removed and 106 put in in its place on fa /01.
    B. ACL 108 is applied to fa 0/1….. etc

The questions was a 33% – step 1 66% – step 2 and 100% “finished” dial on the lest. Hadn’t seen anything like it before.
You could view all the access list statements by doing a sh run….

    Best of luck friends….
