CCNA – Drag and Drop 4

Here you will find answers to CCNA Drag and Drop Questions – Part 4

Question 1

Drag the function on the left to the matching security appliance or application on the right. (Not all functions are used)

SecurityAppliance.jpg

Answer:

1) antispyware: detects software designed to capture sensitive information and removes it from the computer
2) antivirus: prevents known malicious programs from being installed on workstations
3) IDS: identifies malicious network traffic and alerts network personnel
4) firewall: filters traffic based on source and destination IP address or traffic type

Question 2

Drag the Frame Relay acronym on the left to match its definition on the right. (Not all acronyms are used)

FrameRelayAcronym.jpg

Answer:

1) a router is this type of device: DTE
2) the most common type of virtual circuit: PVC
3) provides status messages between DTE and DCE devices: LMI
4) identifies the virtual connection between the DTE and the switch: DLCI

Question 3

The left describes some types of connections while the right describes some types of cables. Drag the items on the left to the proper locations.

cabletypes

Answer:

ccna_cabletypes_answer

Explanation:

To specify when we use crossover cable or straight-through cable, we should remember:
Group 1: Router, Host(PC), Server
Group 2: Hub, Switch
One device in group 1 + One device in group 2: use straight-through cable
Two devices in the same group: use crossover cable

For example: we use straight-through cable to connect switch to router, switch to host, hub to host, hub to server… and we use crossover cable to connect switch to switch, switch to hub, router to router, host to host… ).

+ We can connect a modem to router auxiliary port using a rollover cable. Recall that the purpose of the router’s auxiliary port is for connecting to a modem and most Cisco routers have a second port on the back called the auxiliary port. We can use this port in case of a far-away router goes down, the administrator can have someone in the area go to the router, plug in a modem and access to the router remotely (if using the console port, we have to go to the site to work with that router).

+ We can connect a PC serial port to a switch/router console port through the RJ-45 to DB-9 or RJ-45 to DB-25 adapter (at the PC end), depending on the computer.

Question 4

The above provides some descriptions, while the below provides some routing protocols. Drag the above items to the proper locations.

ccna_EIGRP_OSPF

Answer:

ccna_EIGRP_OSPF_answer

Explanation:

Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) is a Cisco proprietary routing protocol, so it is vendor-specific. By default, EIGRP internal routes have an administrative distance value of 90.

OSPF uses cost as its metric. By default, the cost of an interface is calculated based on bandwidth with the formula cost= 10000 0000/bandwith (in bps). OSPF elects a DR on each broadcast and nonbroadcast multiaccess networks (like Ethernet and Frame Relay environments, respectively). It doesn’t elect a DR on point-to-point link (like a serial WAN).

Question 5

As a CCNA candidate, you are required to have a firm understanding of the OSI model. At which layers of the OSI model do Wide Area Networks operate in? Please drag the items to the proper locations.

WANOSI.jpg

Answer:

WANOSI_answer.jpg

Explanation

WAN operates in the two lowest layers which are Data Link and Physical layers.

hey guys how are you doing ?i got a new drag and drop for you , this is what i had when i sat for the ccna exam it is a complete different drag&drop me myself i never saw this somewhere before i dont quit remember but i will try to give the idea and if 9tut knows what am talking about he could help you

in fact we have some items and their corresponding meaning it was exactly like this then we need to drag them to the right meaning

    hop
    cost
    bandwidth
    delay
    load
    metric
i think one or two things are missing but i hope 9tut will help u take care for now
this is my email for futher details you can contact me at this address lasmemaurice5@yahoo.fr

this is what tools is trying to give, here is the source part of the target clues given in that question:
-the number of point-to-point links in a transmission path —–(hop)
-the data capacity of a link —(badwidth)
-the amount of activity on a network resource —(load)
-usually refer to the bit error rate of each network link —(reliability)
-a configurable value based by default on the bandwidth of the interface —–(cost)
-the amount of time required to move a packet from source to destination —–(delay)

NB: the appropriate target as perceived by me is placed in the bracket. hope 9tut will get a graphical interpretation of this drag-and-drop soonest.
    Goodluck.

Please help me with this question.

Which statment about RIPng is true?

A: RIPng uses broadcast to exchange routes.

B: RIPng is enabled on each interface separately.

C: There can be only one RIPng process per router.

D: RIPng allows for route up to 30 hops.

In pass4sure B is the correct answer, but I don’t get it. I think the answer is A can anyone help me with this question?
If I am wrong then whats the reason?

    December 24th, 2010

hi john the answer to this question is B.

  7. miz0
    December 26th, 2010

    for john:
dude! ripng is RIP for IPv6 which doesn’t have broadcast even as a concept. so RIpng can never use broadcast. A-incorrect
C and D are clearly crossed out.

  8. DragonSoul
    December 31st, 2010

To JOHN : answer B is the correct answer .. RIPng (RIP next generation) uses IPv6.. when u enter “terminal config” mode on the router as normal “IPV4″ u use this command (network X.X.X.X)(network z.z.z.z) but when we use RIPng “IPv6″ we should go to the interface which directly connected to network x.x.x.x then we advirtise for it.. then we exit and go to the interface which directly connected to network z.z.z.z then advertise for it..

    I hope u get it .. Good Luck :)

Please. There are people here trying to help all of us, but you keep posting the same things over and over again “please send me the lastest dumps to my email” come on!, who will do that, take a time to read and leave space for important posts.

if you read the site you will find that everyone says (people who passed CCNA EXAM) that the dumps that really work are “Cisco.TestInside.640-802.v17.14.by.Acme.356q.vce”. I uploaded them to megaupload:

    Nell,

I think on you example for EIGRP it can also correct whatever first, but in drag and drop for any OSI model that’s the confusing one.

    Hi,
I am very confused about a drag and drop question. RIPv1 and OSPF. I got different answer in different dumps. Here are the answers. Please help me about which one is correct.

    RIPv1:
    sends frequent updates.
    Less Complex configuration.
    Susceptible to routing loops.
    Exchange full routing table updates.

    OSPF:
    Fast convergence.
    Uses only event-triggered updates.
Same topology information held by all routers.
Requires more memory and processor power.

    AND,

    RIPv1:
    sends frequent updates.
    Less Complex configuration.
Same topology information held by all routers.
    Exchange full routing table updates.

    OSPF:
    Fast convergence.
    Uses only event-triggered updates.
    Susceptible to routing loops.
Requires more memory and processor power.

Please help me with correct one.
