The new CCNA 200-120 exam has come to replace the old CCNA 640-802 exam so we create the “Share your (new) CCNA Experience” for everyone to share their experience after taking this exam.
Note: We have a topic of Frequently Asked Questions & Tips for CCNA learners, surely you will find valuable information about the CCNA exam there.
Please share with us your experience after taking the new CCNA 200-120 exam, your materials, the way you learned, your recommendations…
Your posts are warmly welcome! Hope you will find useful information from friends who have taken the CCNA exam!
I’m taking mine this october 10 so please give me at least some tips @anton thank you.
taking mine tomorrow morning. will report back
@QuattroGinger can you confirm to us if there are OSPF and EIGRP sim afterwards?
yes i will xXx
thank you so much @QuattroGinger we wish you the best of luck.
@xXx yes, all sim, except acl acl2 eigrp from 9tut require only “sh run” command and make answers about topology, no configuration required
So you got ACL 1 and 2 the EIGRP then OSPF and EIGRP “sh run” only sim thank you Anton
@xXx yes, i got acl1, acl2 (host B), EIGRP (112 and add network on main router) also EIGRP and OSPF sim from ICDN1&2 – http://www.9tut.net/
Wish you all the very best whosoever going to take the exam tomorrow. The last name I can see here is QuattroGinger, so Special thanks to him @QuattroGinger.
I will take mine in Oct 10.
Thank you guys.
Will take my exam today @4PM.. wish me luck!!!
I passed today :)
These are new questions that I probably answered incorrectly.
suthentication in snmpv2 —>> community String
and what is the Advantages of having OSPF configured into a single area?
—->>> no virtual link
—–>>>less type of LSA
Thank you thank you and thank you 9tut. I just studied from this site and got 917 in the exam!
I got 4 sims: ACL, ACL2 mode3, EIGRP and OSPF, in the last one just do #sh run to answer the questions. Good luck everyone and thanks for all tips and knowledge!!
@billa
i passed the exam on saturday…and no new labs. The EIGRP lab had different topology…but was exactly the same. i had default-network and passive inteface on the router connected to the ISP
CCNA questions changed a little. there are ospf routing simlet questions. these questions require you to do show command and figure out configurations error and answer questions. most answer has to do with HELLO and DEAD time intervals.
thanks @alex for your reply (the change happened on 29th i think ) and thanks @mark for cooling us with that comment , i am going to take the exam tomorrow i will comment the changes too
You can find the EIGRP and OSPF simlets that are included in the ccna 200-120 exam since 29th of Sept here: http://www.9tut.net/category/icnd2/icnd2-labsim
Pass CCNA today with 1000/1000
Dumps are watson and methew and 9tut
Labs were ACL 1, ACL 2(mod 3), EIGRP
NOTE: There were 2 troubleshooting portion each containing 4 questions. It was related about ospf and eigrp troubleshoot. You have to apply different commands and then answer the given questions.
@Guy…can u explain the eigrp and ospf new questions
PASSED 902/1000 thanks to 9tut and lammle books!!!!
OSPF QUESTIONS!!!! study your show commands well
@Diego, did you remember questions on OSPF?
You can find the ospf and eigrp simlets here: http://www.9tut.net/
Hey guys ,
Im taking my exam tomorrow. Really worried about the changes made. Someone said that the newly added lab questions are like the ones on the ICND1/ICND2 website. Can someone please look on that site and confirm which ones??
o my god!!!!! the 8 questions were new in my exam. finally I passed the ccna 200-120 exam yesterday. Most of the questions were here at 9tut and watsons dumps. ACL 1, ACL 2 (host B) and EIGRP (AS 222). I was surprised to see OSPF and another EIGRP sim in the exam but managed to answer the questions, you only need to use show commands to find the answers.
@sam there where all about the show commands… i dont, i lost about 20mins on thoses questions.. 4 questions about k values, Router ID..
and another thing.. i dont remember subnetting AT ALL!!!!!!
i told you they gonna change the test after 30th sept. :))
just study the material, not the answer . good luck :p
They didn’t change the test. It seems they simply added some simlets to it.
am CCNP certified any one with CCIE DUMPS please mail me: hwinnes2010@gmail.com
Passed 972/1000 today. SIMs were Acl 1, Acl2 and EIGRP labs. Didn’t check out the comments in ‘share your new experience’ otherwise I wouldn’t have been surprised by the extra simlets + 1 new question. Advice: Always check out this section as there could be a couple of questions that could have appeared in the paper previously.
Advantages of having OSPF configured into a single area?
- no virtual link
- less types of LSAs
Extra simlets are troubleshooting EIGRP and OSPF (Why adjacencies arent being formed and why some routes arent being seen). Each simlet has 4 questions each.
But not to worry, if you read and understood EIGRP and OSPF, you wont have that much of a hard time figuring it out.
@Vicky……A scenario was given to you about a network and then 4 questions were asked…one of them was like this.!!Why R2 is not making an OSPF adjacency with R3 etc etc..and then 4 options were given..i guess the answer was wrong encapsulation used…..And the same was for EIGRP..
Please remember and use these commands to answer them….
show interface
show ip interface
show ip interface brief
show cdp neighbors
show running-config
Thanks Guy :)
Im the first one who posted about the additional simlets in the exam. Now you know that I’m not just making things up to confuse the readers here. Im glad I was able to help you in my own little way. Congratulations to those who passed the exam.
Passed today. All questions are on 9tut, OSPF and EIGRP LAB least.
Thanks @Anonymous! I was able to read your post last Sept 29 about the additional simlets. I took the exam yesterday and passed 1000/1000. There were 2 new simlets in the exam along with acl1 acl2 and eigrp.
Does anyone know if there is a similar website like this for Microsoft exams?
Thanks!
Hi guys I am taking the exam tomorrow, I know basic thinks about OSPF , LSA,lsdb and SPF and thats all I know …. I studied dumbs and ACL,ACL2 and EIGRP labs, tell me if I have to go tomorrow, otherwise I will reject the exam and will study more…
@bravo
do you know have two new sim ospf and eirp ?
Passed Today 986/1000. big thanks to 9tut. this is all i studied. specifically i just kept doing quizes over and over. used NO other material.
little background, i started IT 7 years ago answering phones. worked my way up to tier 2, 3 years ago i got a sys engineering position with same company (tier 3). did mostly server side stuff. no networking at all. i got a new job and started 18 Aug 2014. within first 2 days they told me i had to get a CCNA within 60days to remain on contract. i could barely create a vlan on a switch. thats all i knew. studied 9tut since 18 Aug and passed today. anyone can do it and if you have a job as a network engineering its so much easier seeing the answer, then understanding how it relates in real world. that helped me alot.
Now, onto its content. ALL 53 questions i received were from 9tut.
drag n drop’s were port numbers (eigrp, ospf, rip, next hop, etc) and Router,DTE,DCE,CSU/DSU,Digital line, ISP.
Sims were EIGRP. exact same as here except it needed to be in EIGRP 12 and different IP’s but same commands. and ACL2 case 2, exact same with different IP as host 4.
Labs were ACL1, NEW ONE on OSPF, NEW ONE on EIGRP. both containing 4 questions each.
(ACL2 shows you addresses of hosts and finance server, you do not have to run commands to view)
OSPF Lab asked 4 identical questions regarding different routers. where are they not making adjacency. answer options on all i believe were 4 of these,
interface is shut down and needs to be enabled
incorrect ID
missing route
in different areas
route missing
hello, and dead timers are mismatched
EIGRP Lab – shows 2 switches mixed in with 7 total routers
asks questions such as why does router 6 not have path from router 1
what route will router 1 take to get to router 6.
i somewhat understood both labs but started drawing blanks of which command showed exactly what i wanted to see. i started running all commands looking for what i wanted. for OSPF biggest help was “show ip OSPF interface” and “show ip OSPF database”. i also used show running-config.
i answered these labs by process of elimination. when it asked for hello dead timers i knew show ip ospf interface showed those and i could compare the 2 and eliminate or select that as answer.
remember your major sh commands for both EIGRP and OSPF. they will help alot. i used a hour and 10 on exam.
again, all questions were from 9tut. wish everyone else luck in the exam coming up
well done @Quattro thank you im ready
Passed today!!!high 900′s
@ Quattroginger can you please email for some advise. I’m looking to take the test this weekend or next. thanks
Bismillah…..Today I will take exam @3 pm….
Hey Guys,
The IDs don’t need to be the same in OSPF while in EIGRP they have to match. The parameters that need to match in OSPF are:
- Hello & Dead Timers,
- Stub Area Flag,
- Network Type,
- And Authentication if available.
Correct me if I am wrong.
where is the new ospf sim?
Please send me the last CCNA dumps to serdar2882@gmail.com.my exam 10oct.OSPF and new EIGRP simulations about help me.
Starting from 29 Sep 2014, the lab questions is increasing from 3 to 5 questions (If you noticed, the “Welcome..” page is changing from 2013 to 2014).
You WILL still see both of the ACL q(finance & public q, and the one with 3 questions), and EIGRP q (the wrong AS & incomplete network command).
But the new 2 question is troubleshooting about OSPF and EIGRP, both have 4 questions, only “show” command used, and if you know how to configure them, you can easily answer with only “show run” command on every router, basically the question is asking about “why router x and router y is not forming an adjacency..?”.
Beware of the OSPF, because its not using “network x.x.x.x x.x.x.x area x” in config-router as the basic OSPF config, but rather use “ip ospf …..” per interface to activate OSPF.
If you wonder where did I get these information…lets just say I have done CCNA exam a hundred times from 2012 until now…
And the score is never below 972/1000 :D
Correction,
” and if you know how to configure them, you can easily answer with only “show run” command on every router….”
some question requires you to use “show ip int brief” command because the problem is in layer 2..
I passed today 972/1000
3 new questions, but all of them were discussed here. The question about mismatching of interfaces in ether channel. One of the simplest questions by the exam. One of the fa0/1 interfaces has status of protocol is down. the other answers in this question do not pass.
ospf simlet with 4 questions about neighbors and neighborhood
:
1. encapsulation is not the same ppp and hdlc
2. one of interfaces is down
3. networks are not advertised on one of the router
4. dead interval mismatch, in the running-config you can see the set parameter of dead interval 50. on the second there is no information about that, so its easy that the default value 40 is configured
eigrp simlet 4 quesionts:
1. Loopback network is not advertised because the loopback interface is down
2. 2 routers cannot establish the neighborhood because one of the interfaces between them is the passive interface
3. no neighborhood, because one of the interf. is shuted down
4. the route to router r5 to the router r1 is unequally load balancing. when you type show ip route you can find two routes to r5 and the administrative distance is different, so unequal load balancing
i would like to thank you 9 tut and every person, who reported the exam experiences. good luck for everyone, who is waiting for the exam. WIth 9tut it is easy
hi all
where we can find the new sim questions ?
