EIGRP Troubleshooting SIM:

packet_tracer_CCNA_lab_EIGRP_Troubleshooting.jpgPlease say thanks to Runiya, who created these lab-sim questions on Packet Tracer. Now you can practice with real labs in your CCNA exam!

The lab file includes:

+ CCNA Implementation sim
+ CCNA drag and drop sim
+ CCNA EIGRP sim
+ CCNA NAT sim
+ CCNA RIP Configuration sim
+ CCNA Access-list sim
+ CCNA Access-list sim 2
+ CCNA VTP sim
+ CCNA EIGRP Troubleshooting sim

Link to download these labs

Download lab files from 9tut

You will need Packet Tracer version 5.3 or above to open these files. It’s totally free! You can download this software but you need to register first or you can find a mirror download with google (with keyword “download packet tracer”)

Please notice that in real exam, you have to click on host (PC) to access command-line-interface of the router, not the router itself.

Thanks for this, really appreciate the time and effort that has gone into putting these practice labs together.

I did notice on the RIP v2 sim that the clock rate between the serial interfaces had not been set.

If we were presented with a similar situation in the exam would / should we set this item? Even tho the question had not specifically stated so?

The reason i ask is that when i did “show rip database” to make sure my routes were being advertised I was only advertising the Fa0/0 route.

    any feedback greatly appreciated

…. also a general query and I always get mixed up on this one… is it the “no auto summary” command that will advertise the subnet mask or simply enabling RIPv2?

i need to write this jan can someone tell
    m has the exam changed

    January 14th, 2011

@TheSnake: It’s a mistake in that lab file, surely you will not see this problem in the exam so don’t worry! I updated that file with the clock rate set. Thanks for your detection!
The “no auto-summary” tells RIP to keep the “child” subnet-mask so we can use discontiguous networks.

You have to read the instructions for the questions. The password could be cisco, or another depending on the question.

    January 28th, 2011

Thank-you the feedback and a thank you to all those who contribute / update this site.

I have been going over the labs again and again (which is also helping with my theory) and this is boosting my confidence no end.

Once I have passed my exam I will endeavor to contribute material myself

@Rer – I believe, if i have understood the lab correctly, you are meant to use the CDP command. Generally, the lab will either provide instructions or a link to the instructions. in this case in provides the link http://www.9tut.com/65-ccna-drag-and-drop-sim-question – hope this is of some help

on the first question in the VTP sim, sho mac-address table, I am not seeing mac addess in table or am I seeing fa0/8. I am going into en, then sho mac-address table. I’ve re-downloaded the VTP sim, but i am seeing the same thing, plz help..

  27. kers
    February 1st, 2011

@aerdaxt: You have to press the button ‘power cycle devices’ that is in the lower yellow bar on packet tracer. This will make the mac addresses appear in the mac address table.

Another question I have about VTP sim is this:

On question 9, in the solution, it says that you must do a show running-config and look for a default gateway route. But on this lab there is no such line in the running config!!

the ip address of web server is 172.22.242.3. n the subnetmask is 255.255.255.240 n default gateway is 172.22.242.30 so the ip n gateway is not in same subnet
change the ip from 172.22.242.3 to 172.22.242.(17-30) in ACL2 lab
