i can’t open vtp_sim.pka file and it said “not compatible”. My Packet Tracer version is 5.2.

Runiya, I took the 640-802 exam yesterday and failed. The EIGRP sim I had was different where there were passive interfaces. I didn’t know what to do with them and spent a lot of time during the test trying to figure it out. Can you help me out with this? I plan on taking the exam again sometime this month. My weakness with the exam is simulations. Also when I was doing the VTP sim, the show mac-address-table command didn’t work. I kept on getting a invalid command error. Is there another command I could of used instead of show mac-address-table to get the same information that question 1 was asking ( just like the vtp sim here on 9tut, What interface did Sw-AC3 associate with source MAC address 0010.5a0c.ffba ?). Thanks for your help.

@Tony: I am sad when hearing you failed. The EIGRP sim has just been updated with the “passive interface” problem so please read that sim (http://www.9tut.com/64-ccna-eigrp-lab-question) again.

Did you type the “show mac-address-table” in the privileged mode? something like this:
Switch#show mac-address-table

and did you use the “tab” or “?”, for example “show ?” to see all the available commands?

I believe I was in the correct mode. What ever mode it was, I could use the other commands like “show vtp status”, “show run”, “show cdp neighbors”, etc. I didn’t use the tab or ? option, I forgot about that option. I will go to that link and study that sim again. Many thanks for your quick reply!
